group members gathered to work around line 3.
The current lines of research in critical patient and simulation were presented.
Regarding the first, the productivity associated with the MoviPre Project, IP Marta Raurell, carried out in 80 ICUs in Spain, to assess the muscle weakness and the degree of mobility of 642 critical patients through a prospective analytical observational study was specified.
The project has been completed in January 2023, with the production of 4 articles in JCR quarter 1 and 2, and 3 articles in Scopus. The current ongoing project, Ahorro Sangre, IP Marta Raurell, was discussed, which has generated two reviews (a systematic and meta-analysis regarding the method of analyzing glycemia in the critically ill patient, and a scope review regarding the systems blood saving).
An article based on current evidence in relation to blood saving techniques (lower volume tubes versus blood saving systems) is pending publication.
The article related to the international multicenter study in which 194 ICUs from Spain and 51 from Latin America have participated, is in the final stages of writing, to evaluate through a previously validated survey, the implementation of blood saving programs regarding nursing interventions.
With regard to the line of research in simulation, the different scales that have been adapted to the Spanish context to be used during the simulation have been announced: Debriefing Experience Scale (to assess the students’ experience during the debriefing), Interprofessional Socialization and Valuing Scale -ISVS- (to assess students about what they have learned about working with professionals from other disciplines, Student Satisfaction and Self-Confidence in Learning Scale (to assess satisfaction (5 items) and self-confidence (8 items) of students with the simulation received), KidSIM Team Performance Scale (to assess teamwork in undergraduate students during the simulation) and
Educational Practices Questionnaire (to assess how the facilitator delivers the simulation by the student).
In addition, two scales have been created and validated: MEDICORRECT (scale with 10 items to assess the fundamentals of the medication administration process through simulation) and SIMULAZERO (scale to assess knowledge and skills of critical care nurses for the prevention of mechanical ventilation-associated pneumonia and catheter-related bacteremia by ECOE test).
