PRESENTATION OF THE GROUP
NURSEARCH is a research group in mental health, psychosocial and complex nursing care.
The research group on nursing care for mental, psychosocial and complex health, or NURSEARCH, was officially born in 2023 with the aim of being able to transfer the knowledge obtained from the identification of the health needs of citizens (both in the psychosocial and health areas mental as well as care in situations of complexity) to the design, implementation and evaluation of nursing programs aimed at promoting and intervening in public health problems.
We are a Research Group
recognized by the Government of Catalonia (2021 SGR 1083) and our main area of knowledge is nursing.
So, our research is aimed at improving the health responses of people, families and communities, at the level of Primary Care, Hospitalization, Specialized Care and Social Health Centers, among others.
What do we propose?
The main challenges for the coming years are aimed at:
- Consolidate the research we are doing as a group
- Strengthen the transfer of the knowledge obtained, both from the clinical and from the social side.

The central research of NURSEARCH is developed in the following levels:
In addition, and in a transversal way
the group works
in a line of construction and validation of instruments for the measurement of health needs and results in the framework of nursing care. The definition of these lines of research corresponds precisely to the coherence of the work of this group of researchers: lines that are totally connected to each other.
OBJECTIVES
For the next three years,
the group aims to consolidate and increase the nursing quality research that is currently being produced and, in addition, to strengthen the international relations that already exist and build new ones. Then, the great challenge will be to consolidate the transfer of knowledge to citizens.
Given the health circumstances that the world population is going through recently, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the needs of the population to improve attention in general and especially in mental health have become more than evident, as well as the importance of the nurse in attention to the health responses of the citizenry.
In this sense, NURSEARCH is aligned with the 2030 agenda and the policies of the Department of Health of Catalonia and sustainable development, and aims to promote measures to prevent and intensify disabilities, reducing the impact on the person’s health, their quality of life and their integration into the activities of society.
